FULTON, Mo. – MNU rode a red-hot second half and a career night from Uriah Boutte to a 75–63 road win over William Woods on Monday night.
After a cold-shooting first half where the Pioneers hit just 29.4% from the field and held a narrow 25–20 lead, MNU flipped the script in the second, torching the nets at a 66.7% clip while pouring in 50 points to pull away late. The win moves MNU back to .500 in conference play.
Boutte exploded for 27 points off the bench, hitting 6 of 11 threes and 9 of 15 shots overall in just 21 minutes. Malachi Bryant added 13 points, including a perfect 6-for-6 from the line, while Caden Kaberline posted a well-rounded line of 10 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists.
MNU dominated the glass with a 45–35 advantage and outscored the Owls' bench 33–12. The Pioneers also dished out 13 assists while limiting William Woods to just 3.
Turning Point
With just over 14 minutes left and clinging to a 33–29 lead, MNU unleashed a 15–5 run capped by a pair of Boutte triples that extended the margin to double digits. From there, the Pioneers maintained control and led by as many as 17 down the stretch.
