OLATHE, Kan. – The #15 Pioneers controlled possession and came away with a 1-0 home victory over Briar Cliff on Wednesday night. After a scoreless first half, MNU broke through in the 54th minute when Tindra Jarl buried her first goal of the season off a perfect setup from defender Achaia Day. From there, MNU's back line and goalkeeper Fiona Popetschnig locked down the Chargers, limiting them to just three total shots and one on target.
The Pioneers generated steady offensive pressure, finishing with seven shots and forcing Briar Cliff into three second-half saves. The lone tally proved enough as MNU's defense recorded its second consecutive shutout.
