OLATHE, Kan. – MNU built a 9–0 run to open the night, but the Pioneers couldn't maintain their early rhythm and fell 82–77 to Baker on Tuesday. MNU stormed out behind three straight threes from
Malachi Bryant,
Uriah Boutte, and
Elijah Vos to grab quick momentum. But Baker responded with a 22-6 run to flip the script. The Wildcats led by 8 late in the half, but MNU closed with an 8-0 run to tie it at the break.
The second half became a possession-by-possession battle. Neither team could get separation until Baker used a 6-0 run to take control with 5 minutes left. The Pioneers closed to within 2, but the Wildcats hit enough free throws down the stretch to grab the win.
Malachi Bryant led the Pioneers with 22 points on 8–15 shooting, including 4 threes, while
Uriah Boutte poured in 19 points.
Caden Kaberline had 10 points and 9 rebounds.
Landon Wagler had 8 points and 6 rebounds off the bench. And

Despite out-rebounding Baker 38–32 and shooting well from all three levels, MNU was hindered by 12 turnovers and Baker's 50% shooting from deep.
