FAYETTE, Mo. – MNU opened conference play in dominant fashion Saturday, rolling past Central Methodist 74–45 behind a balanced offensive attack and one of its strongest defensive showings of the young season.

The Pioneers controlled the game from the second quarter on, outscoring CMU 21–10, 18–9, and 18–11 across the final three periods. MNU's defensive pressure forced 20 turnovers, which turned into transition opportunities and limited the Eagles to just 37.3% shooting.

Grace Carlson and Mary Lukert each tallied 14 points, with Carlson contributing 5 boards and Lukert dishing out 6 assists. Aubrey Rogers added 13 points and 4 assists, and Zaylee Werth anchored the interior with a commanding 14-rebound performance.
