OLATHE, Kan. – MNU bounced back from a slow start Tuesday night to defeat conference rival Baker 20-25, 25-17, 25-9, 25-13, extending its winning streak to 10 matches and tightening its hold near the top of the Heart of America standings.
Alyssa Reichard led a balanced Pioneer attack with 15 kills and a .190 hitting percentage, while Avery Lowe (11 kills, .273) and Isabella Munari (8 kills, .304) had big games as well. Setters Alex Thomas and Callie Winebarger orchestrated the offense with 22 and 19 assists, respectively, and combined for five aces. Emily Mathis anchored the back row with a match-high 28 digs and added two aces as MNU hit .224 as a team.
