OLATHE, Kan. – #4 MNU continued its strong Heart of America campaign Saturday with a 2–1 win over Culver-Stockton, earning its fifth conference victory behind a dominant first-half performance.
The Pioneers controlled possession in the first half, outshooting the Wildcats 10–1 and generating 6 corner kicks to zero for the visitors. Antonio Mugica opened the scoring in the 16th minute, finishing a setup from Tom Chartier and Josh Hodgson for his seventh goal of the season. Jeremie Pelade doubled the lead early in the second half, slotting home a pass from Jaxon Slaven in the 59th minute. Culver-Stockton pulled one back with a PK in the 65th minute, and the Wildcats controlled the action for the rest of the game, but the Pioneer defense held firm to close out the match.
