DES MOINES, Iowa – MNU edged Grand View 75-73 in a nail-biting contest on Saturday. MNU led 38-28 at halftime, and pushed the lead to 16 points with 15 minutes left in the game. Grand View started to chip away with just over 7 minutes remaining, and used a 19-6 run to take a 1-point lead at the 2-minute mark. Brooks Langrehr hit a 3-pointer to re-take the lead, and Malachi Bryant recorded a steal on the ensuing possession which led to a fast break and a 4-point lead. MNU held off the Vikings in the final minute, and came away win the road win.
Turning Point
With Grand View closing the gap late, Brooks Langrehr knocked down a critical three-pointer with 1:44 remaining to give MNU a 73-71 lead.
