OLATHE, Kan. - The Pioneers opened the 2024 season with a huge 1-0 victory over #7-ranked John Brown University on Tuesday. After a scoreless first half, the Pioneers finally broke through in the 63rd minute. Zoey Edwards found Thayline Teixeira in the box, who quickly turned a fired a shot through the defense and past the keeper for a 1-0 lead. The Pioneer defense held firm the rest of the way, and the season opened with a big win.
