OLATHE, Kan. - The Pioneers swept Avila to open the 2024 season on Tuesday. MNU won 25-13, 25-15, 25-18. After MNU took the first point, Alyssa Reichard followed with a 3-point service run, and the Pioneers never trailed in the first 2 sets to take a 2-0 lead. The third set was tight early, but MNU found separation with a 9-5 run to take a 19-15 lead and closed the match.

MNU dominated Set 1 to set the tone.

Individual Leaders
Mia Olson hit .467 with 9 kills to lead the offense. Emily Mathis (11), Nayeli Rodriguez (11), and Isabella Munari (10) recorded double digit digs. And Katrina Davis (19) and Alex Cummins (13) led in assists.
