UPLAND, Ind. - 3-seed MNU fell to 5-seed Indiana Tech in an elimination game in the Opening Round on Tuesday. The Pioneers jumped in front in the top of the 1st with a
Noah Castillo 2-run homer, and the Warriors were held scoreless through the first three innings. In the bottom of the 4th, Tech rallied for 4 runs to take the lead, but Castillo's second 2-run homer tied the game at 4. The Warriors picked up an unearned run in the bottom of the 5th, but a
Brycen Sherwood solo shot again tied it in the 7th. Indiana Tech scored twice in the 7th to take another 2-run lead, but MNU rallied late to tie it once more. A sacrifice fly in the top of the 8th closed the gap, and
Willy Borquez led off the 9th with a solo shot to tie the game at 7. In the bottom of the 10th with 1 out, the Warriors hit a solo homer, and the MNU season came to an abrupt end.
