Game 1, MNU scored in the top of the 2nd by loading the bases with no outs.
Dez Duncan was hit by a pitch and
Cordelia Hanger walked for a 2-0 lead, but Mt. Mercy did the same in the bottom of the inning to tie the game. The score remained 2-2 until the top of the 7th, when
Nyah Brown singled home 2 runs and eventually scored on a wild pitch for a 5-2 lead. Starter
Mykala Johnico finished the 7th, and MNU took Game 1.

Nyah Brown's 2-run single in the 7th was the game winner.
Game 1 Individual Leaders
Mykala Johnico struck out 5 in a complete game victory. And

In
Game 2, Mt. Mercy took advantage of a few walks to score 3 in the top of the 1st, then exploded for 7 in the 2nd to take a huge lead. The Pioneers managed single runs in the 2nd and 3rd, but fell 10-2 in 5 innings.
