Zach Trevino recorded his MNU-record 23rd career victory in the first game of a double header sweep at Oklahoma City on Friday. The senior, in his 3rd season at MNU, surpassed Marty Atnip (93-96) with 10 wins in each of his 2 seasons and a 3-0 start to 2024. In
Game 1, the Stars scored with a 2-out single in the bottom of the 2nd, but Trevino shut them down the rest of the way. In the top of the 3rd, a
Drew Woodley RBI triple was followed by a
Brycen Sherwood RBI single, and MNU took a 2-1 lead. The Pioneers rallied for 3 runs in the 6th and 1 more in the 7th, and a
Brentt Olmo incredible catch led to a game-ending double play and a 6-1 victory.

Kaden Owens singled him home to tie the game. In the top of the 8th,
Drew Woodley led off with a double, and
Noah Castillo drove him home for a 2-1 lead. The Stars were retired in order in the bottom of the inning, and the Pioneers won 2-1.
