OLATHE, Kan. – Despite a season-high 32 points from Joe Buchanan, MNU fell to #15-ranked Baker 84-72 on Saturday. His 32 points are the most for an MNU freshman since Anthony Brown's 32 in February of 2020. The Wildcats jumped out to a 19-4 lead, but the Pioneers fought back to get within 4 with 7 minutes left in the half. Baker pushed hard again, however, and took a 13-point lead into halftime.
The Pioneers used a 12-2 run to close the gap to 4 early in the second half, but the Wildcats pushed the lead back to double digits and kept MNU at bay the rest of the way.

Leading by just 4 in the second half, Baker used an 8-0 run to push the lead back to double digits.
