ATCHISON, Kan. – MNU battled through 5 sets but back up just short in the Heart Tournament Championship on Saturday. The Ravens dominated Set 1 by the score of 25-14, but the Pioneers evened the match with a 25-21 win in Set 2. Benedictine took a big lead in Set 3, and the Pioneers fought back to make it respectable, but the Ravens held on to win 25-21. MNU controlled Set 4 and won 25-18 to force a 5th.
MNU led 8-7 at the change, but Benedictine went on a 6-3 run to take a 13-11 lead. MNU stopped the bleeding with a kill, but the Ravens won the next 2 points to claim the title.
