OLATHE, Kan. – MNU pulled out a thrilling five-set victory over William Penn on Friday night. The Statesmen came out strong and won the first set 25-18, but the Pioneers fought back to control the second and third sets 25-16 and 25-21 to take a 2-1 lead in the match. Set 4 went past 25 points, and MNU had match point at 26-25. But Penn rallied to win 29-27 to force a 5th set. Isabella Munari got a kill for a 14-13 lead, and Pavlina Pelcova and Katrina Davis teamed up for a match-sealing block to finish it.
