MARSHALL, Mo. – MNU shook off a tough weekend by defeating Missouri Valley in four sets on Tuesday. The Pioneers claimed the match 25-15, 25-16, 24-26, and 25-15, improving their record to 12-11 overall and 6-5 in conference play.
Avery Lowe and Isabella Munari led the offense with 13 and 15 kills respectively, while Katrina Davis distributed 56 assists. MNU dominated the first two sets but allowed a comeback in the third before closing out strong in the fourth set.
Turning Point
MNU established control early with dominant performances in the first two sets. After dropping a tight third set, the Pioneers regrouped and held Missouri Valley to just 15 points in the fourth, capitalizing on efficient hitting from Lowe and Munari.
