PERU, Neb. – MNU won their 9th straight game with an 86-73 victory at Peru State on Wednesday. The Pioneers held a modest lead throughout the 1st half, and went to the locker room with a 7-point lead.
Ed Wright put up 18 points in the period, and
Caleb Jones-McCrary controlled the paint with 3 blocks. MNU led by 4 at the 16:26 mark of the 2nd half, but a 21-5 run blew the game open and gave the Pioneers a 20-point cushion. Peru was able to fight back to trim the lead to 8, but the Pioneers pushed it back to double digits and cruised to the finish.
