LEWISTON, Idaho - The 10-seed Pioneers bowed out of the 2023 World Series with a 16-7 loss to host Lewis-Clarke State on Monday. In front of a crowd of over 3,400, MNU took an early lead when Noah Castillo drilled a 3-run homer in the top of the 1st. The Warriors offense proved too much, however, as they scored multiple runs in each of the first 4 innings to take a 16-4 lead. Joey Calamaio hit a 2-run homer in the 7th, and Sean Maple drilled a solo shot in the 8th, but the Pioneers fell 16-7.
