LEWISTON, Idaho - The 10-seed Pioneers bowed out of the 2023 World Series with a 16-7 loss to host Lewis-Clarke State on Monday. In front of a crowd of over 3,400, MNU took an early lead when
Noah Castillo drilled a 3-run homer in the top of the 1st. The Warriors offense proved too much, however, as they scored multiple runs in each of the first 4 innings to take a 16-4 lead.
Bryce Brecklin took the mound and shut out Lewis-Clark for the rest of the game, but MNU could not mount a comeback.
Joey Calamaio hit a 2-run homer in the 7th, and
Sean Maple drilled a solo shot in the 8th, but the Pioneers fell 16-7.

LCSC scored 5 in the 2nd to turn a tie game into a big lead.
