Pioneers Fall in 1st Round of Nationals

GEORGETOWN, Ky. - The Pioneers lost 78-70 to #16 Indiana Wesleyan in the 1st Round of Nationals on Tuesday. The Wildcats had an early 10-4 lead as the IWU bigs dominated the paint. MNU turned it around with their back court advantage and used an 18-7 run to take a 5-point lead, and the game settled into a tight contest for the rest of the half. IWU took a 40-39 lead into the break.

The Wildcats used an early 10-0 run to take an 8-point lead in the second half, and the Pioneers had to play catch-up the rest of the way. MNU finally whittled the deficit to 4 with 2:36 remaining, but IWU scored the next 5 points to put the game away.
