OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - The Pioneers swept a double header from Haskell on Friday. In Game 1, MNU scored 2 in the 1st and 4 in the 2nd - sparked by a homer from Nyah Brown - to take an early 6-0 lead. Abby Schulte homered in the 3rd, and Caitlyn Davis hit a 2-out RBI single in the 5th to give the Pioneers a mercy-rule victory.

MNU scored after 2 batters in the 1st for the game-winning run.

Game 1 Individual Leaders
Grace Berlage struck out 3 in 3.1 innings for the win. Josie Day struck out 2 in 1.2 innings of relief. And Cordelia Hanger (3-4, 2 R, SB), Alli VanLanker (1-4, R, 2B, 2 RBI), Kaleigh Bayless (2-2, R, SB), Caitlyn Davis (1-2, RBI), Morgan Fouch (2-3, RBI), Abby Schulte (1-3, R, HR, RBI), and Nyah Brown (2-2, 2 R, HR, RBI, BB) led the offense.

In Game 2, the Pioneers scored single runs in 4 of the first 5 innings - highlighted by an Alli VanLanker solo homer - to build a 4-0 lead. A 4-run rally in the 6th ended the game via the mercy rule, and MNU completed the sweep.
