BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – TrEl'Shawn Smith scored her 1000th career point in a 71-61 victory at Baker on Wednesday. The senior (in her 3rd year at MNU) from Ashland, Mo. needed 20 points to reach the milestone, and reached it with a free throw in the final minute. The game was tight throughout, as the Pioneers held a single-digit lead into the 4th quarter. But the defense clamped down on the Wildcats in the final period, and MNU went on a 10-0 run to turn a 3-point game into a runaway.
