Pioneers Fall at Baker

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - MNU dropped their 3rd straight game with an 86-83 loss at Baker on Wednesday. In a game marked by big runs, MNU took an 11-point lead with a 12-0 run in the first half. But the Wildcats responded a 14-2 run to tie the game at halftime. With 12 minutes remaining in the game, MNU led by 2 after a Mekhi Elmore jumper. Baker then went on a 14-0 run over the next 3 minutes to take a 12-point lead. The Pioneers fought back with a 10-0 run, capped by a 3-point from Books Langrehr, to get back into the game. But Baker pushed the lead back to 6 with 3:40 left in the game. In the final seconds, MNU had the ball down by 3, but a final shot couldn't be made and Baker held on.
