SHAWNEE, Kan. - The Pioneers split a pair of neutral site games vs. Concordia and Tabor on Saturday. In Game 1, the Pioneers jumped out to a big lead in the bottom of the 1st. Cordelia Hanger and Madeline Brooks each singled and stole a base. Rilee Slycord doubled them home, and Kelly Stoakes followed with a double. Consecutive singles from Alli VanLanker, Abby Schulte, Londin Fiorella, Nyah Brown, and Hanger capped a 5-run inning. Concordia tied the game with 3 in the 3rd and 2 in the 4th, but a VanLanker 3-run homer in the bottom of the 4th put MNU up 8-5. Abby Schulte extended the lead with a 3-run shot in the 6th, and MNU won 11-6.

Alli VanLanker's 3-run homer in the 4th was the game winner.

Sarah Melodia struck out 5 in a complete game victory. And Cordelia Hanger (3-3, R, BB, 2 SB), Madeline Brooks (2-4, R, SB), Rilee Slycord (1-2, R, 2B, 2 RBI), Kelly Stoakes (2-3, 3 R, 2B, BB), Alli VanLanker (2-4, 2 R, HR, 4 RBI), Abby Schulte (2-3, R, HR, 3 RBI, BB), and Nyah Brown (2-4, 2B, RBI) led the offense.

In Game 2, the Pioneers held a 2-1 lead after a Londin Fiorella solo shot, but Tabor rallied for 5 runs in the bottom of the 4th and won 9-3.
