OLATHE, Kan. - The Pioneers dropped the first set but took the next three in a 4-set victory over Benedictine on Tuesday. The Ravens won the opening set 25-22, and Set 2 was tied at 17. MNU went on an 8-2 run to finish the set, and the match was tied at 1. Set 3 was tight throughout, as neither team took more than a 3-point lead until the Pioneers took a 24-20 lead. Benedictine scored 3 straight points to get back in it, but MNU scored after a timeout to take a 2-1 lead in the match. The Pioneers controlled Set 4 and won 25-17 to secure the match.

MNU survived Set 3 to take a 2-1 lead in the match.

Individual Leaders
Mikayla Johnson hit .500 with 23 kills and 6 blocks. Cassidy Crist had 13 kills. Lucie Maceckova added 10 kills. Katrina Davis had 28 assists and Alex Cummins had 20 assists. And Ashlyn Halford (22) and Savannah Crossland (15) led in digs.
