OLATHE, Kan. – MNU won every quarter by at least 6 points in a 78-44 win over Park on Wednesday. The Pioneers out rebounded the Pirates 13-2 early in the first quarter which led to a 12-0 run to start the game, highlighted by 5 points apiece from Mackenzie Manthe and Jordynn Gonzalez. In the second quarter, a Vanda Cuamba three-point play and a three-pointer from Allison French extended the Pioneers lead to 16 with 5:23 remaining in the half. The Pioneers held their 16-point lead for the remainder of the second quarter as they took a 35-19 lead into halftime.
 
The Pirates cut the Pioneer lead down to 12 with 4:47 left in the third, but he Pioneers went on a 14-4 run to end the period, highlighted by 8 points from TrEl'Shawn Smith and a closing three-pointer from Aubrey Rogers. Heading into the fourth quarter, the Pioneers held a 22-point lead. The Pioneers would start the fourth quarter just as hot as they ended the third, by going on a 6-0 run to extend their lead to 28 with 8:25 left to play.
