OLATHE, Kan. - MNU is 15-0 after a sweep of #11 Park on Tuesday in front of a raucous home crowd. The scores were 25-20, 25-20, and 31-29. Park became part of the Heart Conference in the Fall of 2020, and had not lost a conference game (or conference tournament game) since joining - a span of 43 matches. In Set 1, MNU jumped out to a 9-3 lead and caused two early Pirate timeouts, but Park fought back with a run of their own and the match was tight. MNU led 21-20 before winning the last 4 points to take the set.
Set 2 was similar, as MNU took a 10-5 lead before Park came back to tie it at 20. But MNU won the final 5 points for a 2-0 lead.
The third set tight throughout, and the teams battled fiercely. Park desperately trying to stay alive, and MNU desperately trying to put them away. Again the set was tied at 20, but it was far from over. Park had set point at 24-22, but MNU won the next 2 points to keep it alive. Park won the following point, but MNU won the next 2 points to bring their first match point. The Pirates weren't done, however, and won the next 2 points to put MNU against the wall again. The Pioneers earned 2 points for match point number 2, but again the visitors scored twice for a 29-28 lead. After a Park setting error tie the set again, MNU won the next 2 points to complete the sweep.

MNU won the final 4 points of Set 1 to take the lead.
