Pioneers Fall in Tourney to Close Season

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Pioneers' season ended with a 4-1 loss to Benedictine in the conference tournament on Friday. MNU got on the board in the bottom of the 1st when Cordelia Hanger singled and moved to second on a wild pitch. One out later, Morgan Fouch's infield single put runners at the corners. Londin Fiorella's RBI groundout gave the Pioneers the lead, but they would not score again. Benedictine rallied for 2 runs in the 4th to take the lead, and 2 more runs in the 5th made it 4-1. MNU couldn't climb out of the hole, and the Ravens eliminated the Pioneers.
