Game 1, the Ravens jumped out to a 4-run lead thanks to a 2-out 3-run homer in the top of the 1st. But the Pioneers answered immediately with a
Brycen Sherwood 2-run shot and
Randy Fernandez 3-run shot in the bottom of the 1st to take the lead. Benedictine kept the pressure on, scoring single runs in each of the next 4 innings. But MNU a
Joshuan Sandoval 2-out 3-run homer gave MNU the lead in the 4th, and a
Frank Vogel 2-run shot gave the Pioneers an 11-9 lead in the 5th. In the bottom of the 6th, 18 Pioneers came to the plate and 15 of them scored - highlighted by a
Mason Hunter grand slam in his first at bat of the season - to give MNU a 27-8 victory.

Joshuan Sandoval homered in the 2nd and Joshuan Martinez homered in the 6th, and MNU completed the sweep.
