OLATHE, Kan. - MNU swept a double header from Clarke on Friday. In Game 1, the Pioneers loaded the bases with 2 outs, and back-to-back hit batsmen made it 2-0. Emma Ryan followed with an RBI single, and MNU took a 3-0 lead. The Pioneers added single runs in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th, and Sarah Melodia and Hannah Etzel pitched a 3-hit shutout for the victory.

Game 1 Turning Point
MNU's first bases-loaded HBP turned out to be the game winner.

Game 1 Individual Leaders
Sarah Melodia struck out 6 in 6 innings for the win. And Cordelia Hanger (1-3, R, RBI, SF), Sirena Salazar (1-3, 2 RBI, HBP), Kaleigh Bayless (1-2, R, 2B, RBI, 2 HBP), Emma Ryan (1-3, RBI, BB), Alli VanLanker (2-4, R), Brianna Carter (2-4, R, 2B, RBI), and Danielle McCartney (2-2, 2 R, 2B, BB) led the offense.

In Game 2, MNU scored 4 in the 1st, 4 in the 2nd, and 6 in the 3rd to take a huge lead. Clarke scored 1 in the 4th, but the Pioneers won 14-1 in 5 innings.

Alexis Wilds struck out 5 in 3 innings for the win. And Kaleigh Bayless (2-2, 2 R, 2B, 3B, 2 RBI) and Londin Fiorella (3-3, 2 2B, 4 RBI) drove in multiple runs.
