OLATHE, Kan. - MNU started conference play with a double header sweep of Park on Wednesday. In Game 1, the Pioneers scored in each ot the first 5 innings to win via the mercy rule while starter Sarah Melodia allowed just 4 hits in the shutout.

MNU's run in the 1st was all they needed.

Game 1 Individual Leaders
Sarah Melodia allowed just 4 hits in a 5-inning shutout. And Sirena Salazar (3-4, R, 2B, 3 RBI), Morgan Fouch (3-3, 2 R, 2B, HR, 3 RBI), Rilee Slycord (2-3, RBI), and Cordelia Hanger (1-1, 2 R, BB, SB) led the offense.

In Game 2, Rilee Slycord's 2nd inning 2-run homer put MNU up 2-0, and 4 more runs scored in the bottom of the 3rd for a 6-1 lead. A Sirena Salazar 2-run single in the 5th made it 8-1, and the Pioneers won 8-3.
