OLATHE, Kan. - The Pioneers swept a 4-game series from Park over the weekend. In
Game 1,
Zach Trevino cruised through the first 5 innings while homers from
Brycen Sherwood and
Noah Castillo built a 3-0 lead. After a leadoff single in the 6th,
Nathan Torres entered the game to close it out. Three strikeouts around a walk and a single left the bases loaded in the 6th, and three more strikeouts preserved the shutout in the 7th.

Brycen Sherwood's 4th inning homer proved to be enough.

Nathan Torres struck out 6 in a 2-inning save. And

Noah Castillo homer was the first of 2 runs in the top of the second, and the Pioneers again poured it on late - highlighted by a
Randy Fernandez 3-run double in the 7th - to win 8-1 and complete the sweep.
