Pioneers Close Season at Nationals

PLAINVIEW, Texas - MNU lost in the first game of the Opening Round of Nationals to Lewis-Clark state, hosted by Wayland Baptist. The Pioneers struggled shooting throughout the game, but especially in the first half, and the Warriors were able to build a 28-19 lead at the break. MNU got back in the game early in the 3rd period, when back-to-back buckets cut the deficit to 5. But Lewis-Clark went on a run to push the lead back to double digits. MNU couldn't get closer than 11 in the 4th, and the season came to a close.

Lewis-Clarke's 14-6 first quarter set the tone.

Individual Leaders
Megan Scott shot 6-10 for 14 points and a career-high 15 rebounds. And Arielle Sargent had 6 points and 9 rebounds.
