BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - MNU lost 2-1 on a walk-off single in the bottom of the 7th to Missouri Baptist on Saturday. In the bottom of the 1st with 2 outs and nobody on, the Spartans rallied with a double and an RBI single to take the lead. The Pioneers tied it in the top of the 2nd with a Josh Torrance solo homer, and the teams took the tie into the 7th. Torrance doubled with 1 out in the top of the 7th, but MNU couldn't get the clutch hit to break the tie. In the bottom of the 7th, Missouri Baptist led off with a bloop double, followed by a sacrifice bunt to move him to 3rd. A ground through the drawn-in infield snuck into the outfield, and the Spartans took the game.

MBU's single in the 7th was the difference.

Individual Leaders
Zach Trevino struck out 8 in 5.1 innings in a no-decision. Reece Helland got out of a tough jam in the 6th but suffered the tough-luck loss in relief. And Josh Torrance (2-3, R, 2B, HR, RBI) was the MNU offense.
