WICHITA, Kan. - MNU came back to win Game 1, but suffered their first loss of the season in Game 2 at Friends on Monday. In Game 1, Friends scored in the 2nd and 5th to take a 2-1 lead heading to the 7th. Cordelia Hanger led off the 7th with a single and stole second. Sirena Salazar walked and Alli VanLanker's bunt ended up as an infield single to load the bases with no outs. Kaleigh Bayless was hit by a pitch to tie the game, and 1 out later, Morgan Fouch hit a sacrifice fly to give MNU the lead. Sarah Melodia completed what she started with a clean botton of the 7th, and MNU won 3-2.

MNU's 2 runs in the 7th was the difference.

Game 1 Individual Leaders
Sarah Melodia struck out 3 in a complete game victory. And Sirena Salazar (1-3, 2 R, BB), Alli VanLanker (2-4), and Cordelia Hanger (2-3, R, 2 SB) led the offense.

In Game 2, 3 solo homers from the Falcons powered them to a 4-1 victory as MNU could manage just a single 1st-inning run.
