OLATHE, Kan. - The Pioneers scored 2 goals in the first 6 minutes and dominated possession in a 7-1 victory over Grand View in the Heart Tourney quarterfinals on Friday. In the 5th minute, Sarah Assumma cleaned up a saved PK for a 1-0 lead, and MNU made it 2-0 with an Ona Barron goal just 1 minute later. In the 36th minute, Laura Torres scored on an assist from Assumma, and Assumma scored in the 42nd and 53rd minutes for a hat trick. Giovanna Castro recorded a brace with quick goals in the 61st and 63rd minutes, and MNU cruised to a blowout victory.

MNU's 2 goals in the opening minutes were enough.

Sarah Assumma had 3 goals and an assist. Giovanna Castro had 2 goals and an assist. Ona Barron, and Laura Torres each had a goal. And Emily Carrasco had 2 assists.
