Baldwin City, Kan. - MNU dominated Baker with a 5-1 victory on Wednesday. The Pioneers got on the board in the 4th minute when Renee Berak's shot was saved by the keeper and deflected to the feet of Laura Torres for an empty-netter. In the 12th minute, Giovanna Castro made it 2-0 on an assist from Emily Carrasco. Castro completed her brace in the 15th minute with an assist from Sarah Assumma, and Assumma made it 4-0 minutes before halftime. Castro assisted Assumma for MNU's 5th goal early in the second half, and MNU held on to win 5-0.
