Pioneers Earn Road Sweep at Penn

OSKALOOSA, Iowa - MNU earned a tough road sweep on Saturday. The Pioneers won the tight first 2 sets 26-24 and 30-28 to take a commanding lead, then took the 3rd set 25-19 to complete the sweep.

"I'm very pleased with this win," said head coach Molly Karagyaurov. "William Penn is coming on as a program in the conference. To play them away after a tough stint of road games; I was worried we wouldn't be sharp. And honestly, we weren't all the time today. But we battled and we were just sharp enough to get sweep!

Now looking forward, we have four games at home! So we SO excited about that, too. Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and next Tuesday will all be at home. We are dealing with some injuries and players being banged up so this time without travel hopefully will help us get healthier."

Jennifer Roth had 9 kills and 11 digs. Fernanda Canedo Ostojic had 8 kills and 10 digs. Teresa Saunders had 8 kills and 6 blocks. And Gracie Myers had 36 assists.
