OLATHE, Kan. - The #4-ranked Vikings from Grand View were too much for MNU in a 47-21 loss on Satuday. Grand View took their opening drive 80 yards in 15 plays for a touchdown, but the Pioneers answered with a 75-yard strike from Blake Atkins to Caleb Tanis to tie the game. Grand View again went 79 yards in 7 plays for a touchdown, then blocked a punt on MNU's next drive to set up another quick score and a 21-7 lead. The Vikings took a 28-7 lead into halftime, and were able to extend to 35-7 to open the 3rd quarter. MNU was able to get 2 more touchdown passes in the 3rd, to Myles Hymes and Robert Menefee, to keep the score respectable, but the Vikings added 5 mroe in the 4th for a 47-21 victory.

Blake Atkins was 19-31 for 334 yards and 3 touchdowns. Jairan Manning ran 16 times for 69 yards. Caleb Tanis had 4 catches for 115 yards and a touchdown. Myles Hymes had 4 catches for 94 yards and a touchdown. And Troy Hall led the defense with 10 tackles.
