OZARK, Mo. - The Pioneers and Eagles faced off for the 3rd time in the tournament and it ended with a 1-run loss for MNU on Tuesday. MNU jumped in front in the bottom of the 2nd on a
Jacob Jenkins RBI single. A
Daunte Freeman 2-run single in the 3rd made it 3-0, but the Eagles fought back with 2 in the 4th and 2 in the 5h to take the lead. In the bottom of the 6th, MNU loaded the bases with no outs, and pinch hitter
Will Morris' RBI groundout tied the game. The Eagles responded with a run in the top of the 7th, but a
Joshuan Sandoval double followed by a Freeman single tied the game again in the bottom of the 7th. A 2-out RBI single in the top of the 9th put CMU back in front, but the Pioneers mounted a modest rally in the bottom of the 9th. A one-out hit followed by a hit batsman put 2 runners on, and a flyout and a stolen base moved them into scoring position. A strikeout ended the threat, however, and CMU celebrated the tourney championship.

CMU's run in the 9th was the difference.
