BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - The Pioneers' win streak is at 16 after a 4-game sweep of Park.

In Game 1, Park jumped on MNU with a double and a homer before an out was recorded. The Pioneers rallied to tie the game in the bottom of the 1st, and took a 4-2 lead with 2 more in the 2nd. Park rallied for 3 in the 3rd to take the lead, but MNU exploded for 9 runs in the 4th and 5th to blow the game open.

Game 1 Turning Point
MNU scored 4 in the 4th to turn a deficit into a lead.

Game 1 Individual Leaders
Kyle Waller struck out 8 in 3 innings. Brady Boyd picked up the win with a scoreless inning of relief. Connor Jonas struck out 4 in 3 innings of relief for the save. And Josh Torrance (2-3, 3 R, BB), Adam Rellihan (2-3, 2 R, 2B, RBI, BB, HBP), Daunte Freeman (3-4, R, 2B, 5 RBI), Ryan Leo (1-3, R, 2 RBI, SF), and Brycen Sherwood (2-4, 2 R, 2B, HR, 2 RBI) led the offense.

In Game 2, MNU scored in just 1 inning, but the 4-run rally was enough for a program-record 14th straight victory. Park scored single runs in the 4th and 5th, but Jhon Vargas struck out 13 Pirates en route to his 8th win of the season.

Game 2 Turning Point
MNU's 4-run 2nd inning was enough.

Game 2 Individual Leaders
Jhon Vargas struck out 13 in a complete game victory. And Josh Torrance (3-3, 2B, SB), Daunte Freeman (1-3, R), Brycen Sherwood (1-2, R, BB, SB), and Ryan Leo (1-3, R, RBI) had MNU's 6 hits.

In Game 3, MNU opened the bottom of the 1st with back-to-back doubles from Josh Torrance and Adam Rellihan, and Daunte Freeman's sac fly made it 2-0. A 2-out RBI triple from Austin Healy in the bottom of the 2nd made it 3-0, and Torrance made it 4-0 with a 2-out RBI single in the 4th. Starting pitcher Tommy Castro was perfect through 3, and had faced the minimum through 4 after Park's first hit was erased on a double play. But 3 errors led to 4 unearned runs in the top of the 5th, and a game previously dominated by MNU was suddenly tied. In the bottom of the 6th with 1 out, Austin Healy singled and Josh Torrance moved him to 3rd with a single to right. A wild pitch gave MNU the lead, and with 2 outs, Joshuan Sandoval launched a massive homer through the teeth of the wind to put the Pioneers up 7-4. A single followed by consecutive doubles added 2 more runs, and MNU held on to win 9-4.

Game 3 Turning Point
Sandoval's homer broke it open in the 6th.
