MARSHALL, Mo. - The Pioneers swept Missouri Valley on Tuesday. In Game 1, MNU rallied for 2 runs in the top of the 1st, and Alexis Wilds allowed just 4 hits and 1 run with 12 Ks in a 4-1 victory.

Game 1 Individual Leaders
Alexis Wilds struck out 12 in a 4-hit 1-run victory. And Cordelia Hanger (1-4, 2 R, 3 SB), Londin Fiorella (2-4, RBI), Morgan Fouch (1-4, RBI), Emma Gordon (2-2, RBI, Sac), and Shelby Snelling (2-3, SB) led the offense.

In Game 2, neither team dented the plate through 3 innings. But in the top of the 4th, MNU rallied for 3 runs on 5 hits - highlighted by a Hannah Tenberge 2-run double - to take the lead. The game was still 3-0 into the bottom of the 7th with 2 outs. But the Vikings managed a 2-out 2-run double to keep the game alive, and an RBI single send the game to extra innings. MNU responded immediately, however, and rallied for 3 runs in the top of the 8th - again highlighted by a Hannah Tenberge 2-out RBI. Alexis Wilds notched the save with a scoreless bottom of the 8th, and MNU completed the sweep.
