KANSAS CITY, Mo. - MNU split the first two games of a 4-game series vs. Trinity Christian on Friday. In
Game 1, MNU led 2-0 in the 6th inning, but the Trolls rallied for 3 runs to take the lead. MNU threatened in the bottom of the inning but came up empty, and TCC hung on to win 3-2.

Trinity Christian's 3-run 6th turned the game around.
Game 1 Individual Leaders
Kyle Waller struck out 4 in 5.1 innings. And
Josh Torrance (1-2, R, BB, HBP),
Jacob Jenkins (1-3, RBI),
Ryan Leo (1-3),
Brycen Sherwood (1-2, R, 2B, BB, SB), and
Randy Fernandez (1-3, SB) had MNU's 5 hits.
In
Game 2, the Trolls scored 1 in the top of the 1st, but an RBI single from
Jackson Berck tied the game in the 4th. In the bottom of the 5th, a 2-out rally with RBIs from
Jacob Jenkins and
Joshuan Sandoval gave MNU a cushion, and 2 more in the 6th made it 5-1. Trinity Christian threatened in the 7th and brought the tying run to the plate, but managed just 1 run for a 5-2 MNU victory.

Jacob Jenkins' 2-out RBI single gave MNU the lead for good.

Jhon Vargas allowed just 5 hits and struck out 9 in a complete game victory. And

In
Game 3, MNU jumped all over Trinity with back-to-back homers in the bottom of the 1st from
Joshuan Sandoval and
Daunte Freeman for a 3-0 lead. In the bottom of the 3rd, Freeman's 3-run shot made it 6-0, and the Pioneers cruised to a 15-1 victory.

Sandoval's homer in the 1st was all MNU needed.

Easten Garrett struck out 4 and allowed just 2 hits in a 6-inning victory. And

Tommy Castro allowed just 1 hit over 6 innings while MNU scored in every inning but the 1st in a 10-0 victory.
