OLATHE, Kan. - The Pioneers swept Missouri Valley on Wednesday. In Game 1, Alexis Wilds dominated in the circle while the offense built a big lead. After scoring 1 in the first inning, MNU rallied for 4 in the second - capped by an Emma Ryan 2-out 2-run single - to take a 5-0 lead. Two more scored in the 4th, and Kaleigh Bayless knocked in the 8th and winning run in the bottom of the 6th for a mercy rule victory.

Game 1 Turning Point
MNU's lone run in the bottom of the 1st was all they needed.

Game 1 Individual Leaders
Alexis Wilds struck out 13 in 6 innings for the win. And Cordelia Hanger (3-4, R), Kaleigh Bayless (3-4, 2 R, 2 RBI), Morgan Fouch (2-3, 2 R, 2 RBI), and Emma Ryan (1-2, 3 RBI, SF), led the offense.

In Game 2, MNU jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning, but Valley responded with their own 5-run top of the 2nd, and rallied for 4 more in the 3rd to take a 9-5 lead. In the bottom of the 3rd with 2 on and 2 out, Kellie Dumas worked a walk, and pinch hitter Londin Fiorella cleared the bases with a double. Kaleigh Bayless followed with an RBI single to tie the game, and Valley didn't score again. MNU scored single runs in the 4th and 5th to take the lead, then rallied for 3 more in the 6th to go up 14-9. Allison Denges closed it out, and MNU completed the sweep.

Londin Fiorella's 2-out 3-run double got MNU back in the game.

Allison Denges allowed just 2 hits in 4.2 innings of relief for the win. And Londin Fiorella (1-1, R, 2B, 3 RBI), Kaleigh Bayless (2-4, R, RBI, SB), Morgan Fouch (103, 2 R, 2B, RBI, BB), Emma Ryan (3-4, 2 R, 2B, 2 RBI, SB), Audrey Denges (2-4, R, 2 RBI), Emma Gordon (1-3, 2 R, BB, SB), and Brianna Carter (3-4, R, 3 RBI) had big games at the plate.
