Pioneers Storm Back Late to Tie KWU

SALINA, Kan. - MNU trailed 3-0 with 20 minutes remaining in regulation, but a flurry of 3 goals in a 12-minute stretch earned a double overtime draw at Kansas Wesleyan on Saturday. In the 72nd minute, Winder Pessoa got MNU on the board with a goal, then gave the Pioneers hope with a OK conversion in the 8th minute. In the 84th minute, Kevin Myftiu's corner kick found newcomer Rick Hovinga, and the game was tied. Neither team found the net in the overtimes, and the game ended 3-3.
