Pioneers Fall in National Quarterfinals

DECATUR, Ala. - The Pioneers couldn't find the back of the net in a 2-0 loss to #1 Central Methodist in the National Quarterfinals on Thursday. The undefeated Eagles spent most of the game on the attack, but the Pioneers held firm and went to halftime in a scoreless tie. In the 62nd minute, CMU drew a foul in the box and were awarded a penalty kick. The PK was converted, and MNU fell behind. 14 minutes later, CMU broke through again and put the game out of reach.
