OLATHE, Kan. - The Pioneers led late, but let it slip away in a 61-60 home loss to Evangel on Saturday. The game was tight throughout, as MNU was unable to build a lead while they struggled from beyond the arc. Evangel hit a deep 3 at the end of the 3rd quarter to take a 5-point lead, but the Pioneers turned the game around with a 13-4 run to open the 4th. MNU led by 4 with just over a minute to play, but Evangel scored the last 5 points to take the game.
