OLATHE, Kan. - The Pioneers won their 3rd straight game in a 104-94 victory over Mount Mercy on Saturday. MNU built a 12-point lead in the first half, but the Mustangs responded and closed to within 3 at halftime. Mount Mercy continued to rally to open the second half, and took a 1-point lead with 14 minutes to play. The Pioneers held a 1-point lead with 10 minutes left, but the next 5 minutes decided the game. With contributions from everyone on the floor, MNU went on a 19-2 run to put the game away.

Turning Point
A 19-2 MNU in a 5-minute stretch in the second half turned a 1-point lead into an 18-point lead.

Individual Leaders
Pedro Lopes shot 9-14 with 11 three throws for a career-high 29 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. Anthony Brown was 6-7 from deep for 28 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals. Cameron Brady had 17 points and 8 rebounds. Blake Spellman had 13 points and 6 assists. Trey Brown added 11 points and 7 assists. And Patrick Cairns hauled in 10 rebounds off the bench.
