BALDWIN CITY, Kan. -Â The Pioneers never trailed in a 73-65 victory at Baker on Wednesday. MNU started with a 7-0 run and led 15-4 after 5 minutes of play. Scoring was a struggle for both teams in the first half and the Pioneers led 28-19 at the break. Both offenses picked up significantly in the second half, and Baker was within 4 points with under a minute left in the 3rd quarter. But MNU closed the quarter with a 6-0 flourish to push the lead back to 10. Baker fought back to trim the deficit to 2 with 4 minutes left, but the Pioneers again pushed the difference to multiple possessions and hung on to win by 8.

Mackenzie Loe led MNU with a season-high 21 points.
