Brady Leads MNU over Valley

MARSHALL, Mo. - Cameron Brady dominated as MNU won 80-65 at Missouri Valley on Wednesday. The Pioneers jumped out to a 7-0 lead before Valley responded with a 14-7 run to tie the game. MNU built a 12-point lead with 13 minutes left in the second half, but the Vikings again responded with a 15-3 run to tie it with 8 minutes remaining. MNU's next run would prove to be the difference, as Trey Brown and Blake Spellman hit 2 threes apiece - and Brady added 2 buckets in the paint - for a 16-4 run and a 12-point lead. Valley couldn't dig out of the hole, and the Pioneers won by 15.

Cameron Brady shot 13-17 for 26 points and 11 rebounds. Pedro Lopes added 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists. Patrick Cairns had 13 points and 6 rebounds off the bench. And Trey Brown flirted with a triple double with 8 points, 9 rebounds, and 10 assists.
