Location: ODAC - Olathe, Kan.

OLATHE, Kan. - The Pioneers are 0-2 after a 55-28 loss to Clarke on Saturday. The Pride built a 20-0 lead at halftime as MNU couldn't find traction offensively. Clarke blew it open in the 3rd quarter, scoring 2 offensive touchdowns and 2 pick-sixes to take a 48-0 lead. The Pioneers answered with 4 long touchdowns of their own in the 4th quarter, including scores of 69, 38, 52, and 77 yards. But the deficit was too great and MNU dropped to 0-2.

"We made too many mistakes early on in the game and couldn't capitalize on the opportunities we had," said head coach Paul Hansen. "Give Clarke credit. They came ready to play and took advantage of our mistakes. I am proud of our kids and how they played hard to the very end."

Turning Point
With MNU trailing 17-0, a long drive ended with a fumble instead of points, and the Pioneers never got back into it.
